Scott Harris is a Wealth & Estate Planning Advisor and co-founder of Stonehaven Financial Group. 27 years ago, Scott began working with high-performing entrepreneurs and professionals from across the country, he helps clients grow and secure their wealth by taking action on every advantage available to strengthen their position.
Scott began his career in Vancouver, British Columbia working with one of the largest insurance companies in Canada. In 1999 he moved his practice to Toronto and co-founded Stonehaven Financial Group Inc (SFG) as an independent and comprehensive financial advisory firm. Today, SFG is a full-service, multi-advisor firm offering solutions for strategic Wealth Management, Multigenerational Wealth Transfer, Estate Planning, Corporate Planning and Employee Benefit Services.
In 2018, the team became partners with Wellington-Altus (WA) a world-class investment dealer and the fastest growing investment dealer in Canadian history with $32 Billion in assets under management.
Scott is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA), an Elder Planning Counselor (EPC), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and a Senior Wealth Advisor.
With a specific interest in the development of strong educational programs for the financial services business, he has assisted industry boards and committees with these programs. He has served on the Advocis Committee for the Ontario School Program and been a returning guest speaker at the schools. Scott served as a member of the Advisory Council to the Wealth & Estate Planning Group. In 2022, Scott was ranked as one of Canada’s Top Wealth Advisors and Best in Province Advisors, as selected by the Report on Business magazine.
In the community Scott’s volunteer work has included hands-on participation at North York General Hospital, coaching AAA Minor Hockey and House League Baseball, along with mentoring students at University of Toronto and University of British Columbia. Scott served on the Board at his golf club and was a two term President. As a Member of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, Scott served as a Director from 2018-2024. Since 2016, Scott & SFG have been sponsors for the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame (ASHOF) as well as the Chamber Business Excellence Celebration (BEC).
Scott resides in Aurora with his wife and four children and enjoys many things in life, including all sports, good food, and travel.
